What is the Kitimat Chamber of Commerce?
The Kitimat Chamber of Commerce is a not-for-profit organization comprised of businesses, professionals, residents and community groups working together to ensure a healthy economic and socio-economic base to benefit the entire community.
The Kitimat Chamber of Commerce is a Business Information Centre and also a Visitor Information Centre. An increasing number of inquiries in both of these areas indicate an interest in our community and surrounding area. Information is continually going out of our office over the phone, surface mail and e-mail. Our Chamber also gives out information to personal visitors who come through our doors.
Your membership in the Kitimat Chamber of Commerce is valued and your support is greatly appreciated.
The Chamber of Commerce is an association of business people that promote the interest of its members and of business in general. The Chamber of Commerce also encourages new business into the area to help support the welfare of the community.
The Kitimat Chamber of Commerce membership dues finance the Chamber as well as other sources of income. The Chamber contracts with the District of Kitimat to provide Visitor Information Services throughout the year. These sources of funding help the Chamber to successfully reach their Mission Statement:
"To be the Voice of Business to promote and improve trade and commerce, and the economic, civic and social welfare of the District, Kitimat and the Community at Large."
